Professions in Eskişehir in the Mid 19th Century in Terms of Social and Economical Aspects

This study represents the important professions of the urban and rural regions of Eskişehir. The main sources of the study are the thirty one different Eskişehir Temettuat records from the period 1844-1845. These records include the social and economic situations of the people residing there. The information also on these records are regarding homeowners in Eskişehir during this period. According to these records there were eighty different professions which are classified in this study. As a result, the social and economic features of the professions in Eskişehir have been studied in this article.
