Predictability of Nutritional Status of Fruit Trees in Early Period

Leaves analysis is a method that is used safely for determination of nutritional status of fruit orchards in all of the world. However, this time is too late at revision of nutrition fault for plant analyses which have been performed at middle of summer. Nutrition requirement of fruit trees is very much at early vegetative period and in this period; they complete almost all of total nutrition quantity that will be used in that year. Many physiological events that affect fruit quality and yield occur during this period. Any nutrient deficiency or excess adversely affects one or more of these physiological processes. Therefore, determining of the nutritional status of fruit trees is of great importance especially at the beginning of the growth season. The fruit quality and yield can be increased both that year and next year by eliminating of mistakes in fertilization program at the early stages of vegetation. Some studies have shown that the nutritional status of plants could be determined by early sampling of flowers, fruit bud, shoots and leaves.
