Abstract
Turkish-Russian battles during World War I happened heavily on the Caucasus and partly on the European fronts between 29th October 1914 and 15th December 1917.Approximately 65.000 soldiers from Turkish Army were slaved by Russian troops during these battles. And also, there were civilian Turkish slaves taken from Turkish territories occupied by Russian troops and sent to Russia by Russian Army. During the war, the number of Turkish slaves in Russia was not certain. In this study, we try to determine the number of both civillian and military Turkish slaves in Russia in the so-called period by examining the documents during the war.
