Abstract :
This study shall mostly dwell and elaborate upon the affection and love for Prophet Mohammad in the Diwan of İbrahim Hakkı of Erzurum of the 18th century (1703-1772), scientist and poet, renownedfor his master work ‘Marifet-name’ and the Diwan of Mahdum kulu, the Turkoman poet (1733?-1783?),who lived similarly in the 18th century. Both of these gret poets who lived in the very same century and wrote in the dialects of the very same language, yet, lived in greatly separate and far geographies. However, distances did not constitute any obstacles to these poets expressing same feelings and thoughts on the basis of the unity of love and faith notwithstanding vastly separated geographies in which these poets were located and different ways of narration and expressions of their theme.Going through and scanning the divans of both of the poets fundamentally, the study elucidates and elaborates how the subject is dealt with with narrated different examples.
