Abstract
Negative behaviors of students have identical effects on both their and others’ learning in educational process that is a social obstacle in learning environment. This is one of the most important external parameter affecting to reach defined objectives of the instruction. From this point of view, it is crucial to determine the negative and positive behaviors of students with the reasons and other relevant clarifying their underachievement. In this study, the behavior of students defined in nine dimensions which point the students are cognitively successful or not. In this context, this is a qualitative research with the data collecting method of case study. While forming groups extreme case sampling was used. The selection of students is criterion based or purposive which will enable detailed exploration and understanding of the successful and unsuccessful students in the classroom. To gather the data semi- structured monitoring form (SSMF) was used, the researchers participated the process completely. Categorical analyze which is one of the content analyze techniques was employed to interpret the data. At the end of the research, negative behaviors of students were classified both implicitly and clearly.
