Abstract
This study aimed to determine whether there was any difference between students who follow scientific publications and use technoloy in terms of their level to which scientific knowledge is related to daily life. The study sample comprised 357 students from 6 state primary schools in the city of Bursa, Turkey. Data was collected using scales to assess knowledge of biology in relation to daily life and an assessment questionnaire. In addition to descriptive statistics, t-tests, were used to analyze the data. The results showed that those students who used computers, read scientific content in newspapers and magazines and who regularly read scientific publications had a greater ability to relate that knowledge to daily life than those who did not.
