Investigation the Effects of Learning Environment Enriched With 5E Model on Students’ Achievement

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the enriched 5E model on students’ academic achievement relate to “Solar System and Beyond: Space Riddle” unit. A quasi-experimental research method was used in this study. The sample of this study is composed of 72 grade 7 students at Trabzon Mimar Sinan Primary school. Achievement test’s KR-20 reliability coefficient was calculated as 0.86. Dependent t-test was used in to group comparisons and in-depended t-test was used comparisons between groups. Students’ achievement test scores of the pre-test-post-test and delayed test were analyzed with F-test (ANOVA). At the end of the study; it was found out that there was a significant difference (t(70)= 4,345; p .05) on students’ academic achievement in favor of experiment group compared with the control group.
