Macro-Anatomical Study of Ossa Membri Pelvini in the Feral Pigs (Sus scrofa)
Abstract :
The aim of this study was to investigate pelvic limb bones of the feral pigs. For this purpose, 3 feral pigs were used. The ischiatic spine was sharp and high. The ischiatic tuberosity had three processes. The ischiatic arch was narrow and deep. The greater trochanter was on the same level with the head.The third trochanter was absent. Lateral intercondylar tubercle was higher than medial intercondylar tubercle. The fibula extended along the tibia. There was four metatarsal bones including os metatarsale 2, os metatarsale 3, os metatarsale 4 and os metatarsale 5.
