Abstract
Professor Dr. Ramazan Kantay who retired in May 2010 was born in Isparta in 1943 and graduated Istanbul University Forestry Faculty in 1963. After being appointed as “Research Assistant” at the faculty in 1968, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1976. He was then appointed as “Associate Professor” and “Professor” in 1984 and 1988, respectively. He published four research books, one textbook, 80 scientific articles, and 26 proceedings in the study area of Utilization of Forest Products.
