Prof. Dr. A. Uçkun Geray was the head of of Forest Economics Department, Faculty of Forestry, Istanbul University between 1993-2006. Prof. Dr. A. Uçkun Geray, who was born in 1939, had started his academic career in 1967 and retired in October 2006 due to age limit. He died on 30th of January in 2009. Prof. Dr. Geray gave exceptional contributions to Turkish Forestry in Forest Economics science and practice past 39 years.
