Abstract :
Each individual who will build the world of the future and take charge of their own country in the coming years will govern the states as a result of the training. People willingly or unwillingly participate in a country s education and training activities. An individual who met the school will be more successful when they will see in good situation and as a result they will enjoy at school. The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is a relationship between teaching strategies used by teachers and leadership types which they already have. In this study, screening model was used as data collection method; two scales whose validity and reliability were tested by researcher were used. These scales are “Determination Scale of Teaching Strategies” developed by Kaya and his colleagues (2011). Cronbach s Alpha value of this scale was found as 0,751. On both scales has been applied to 256 active-duty classroom teachers in the district of Konak Izmir Province. The data obtained from both scales were evaluated with the SPSS program; it has been found that there are strong relationship between teaching strategies used by teachers and leadership types owned by teachers (especially, the authoritarian leadership of teachers who adopt through presentation as a teaching strategy; the democratic leadership of the teachers who adopt through the invention as a teaching strategy; the charismatic leadership of the teachers who adopted through the research and investigation as teaching strategies).
