Relationship Levels Between Distributed Leadership Behaviors of Principals and The Teachers’ Perception of Job Satisfaction
Abstract :
The aim of this research is to determine the level of relationship between distributed leadership characteristics of primary school principals and perceptions of teachers job satisfaction. According to the findings from the research; teachers’ perception about school principals’ leadership function is at the level of “often”, and teachers’ perception toward the subscale of leadership team harmony is at the level of I agree”. Teachers’ job satisfaction level is at the level of “satisfied”. There is a positive relation between characteristics of managers’ distributed leadership and teachers’ job satisfaction. Distributed Leadership perception changes according to the socio-economic conditions. The results of the research, which contains how distributed leadership perception changes according to socioeconomic conditions of the school place and examines the effects of socio-economic differences on distributed leadership perception, may lead the implementation of distributed leadership at the schools in Turkey.
