Any action that was ordered to punish and unapproptiate attitudes according to religion was called crime in İslamic law. In this essay, the cirmes and their punishments in the city of Aintab in the second half of the 17 th century that was one of the most unsteady period of Ottomans are handled. According to Aintab cort record it was ascertained that there was an unsecure atmosphere and disorder in the city. Thus, many appeal were made to Aintab court and kadı-judge- had a great effoft for the judgment.It was seenn that kadı did not only decide for had and kısas punishment but also for tazir punishment.
