Abstract
Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) and Crohn disease are inflammatory diseases characterized by abdominal pain and fever. Although they are usually readily distinguishable, the concurrence of the conditions may pose a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. Here in, we presented a 8-years-old boy with Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) admitted to hospital with abdomen pain, weight loose, vomiting and diarrhea. He was diagnosed as Crohn disease based on clinical, laboratory and histological findings, steroid and 5-aminosalisilic acid theraphy were started. In cases of FMF with unusual clinical course, possibility of Crohn disease should be considered, especially in countries where FMF is prevalent.
