Abstract
Dental anomalies are disturbances in tooth development determined by genetic and/or environmental factors and number, size, shape, structure and eruption of teeth should be affected. Many terms are available in the literature to describe a reduction in number of teeth: hypodontia, oligodontia, anodontia. Dental anomalies can be isolated or as a part of a syndrome or rarely it can be seen without any syndrome. It can affect both primary and permanent dentition but permanent dentition is commonly affected. Congenital absence of teeth most commonly occurs with the lateral incisors and second premolars. Intense hypodontia or oligodontia is congenital agenesis of six teeth or more, excluding third molars. For the treatment options of oligodontia; patient’s age and number of missing teeth should be taken into account. Treatment options include orthodontic therapy, implants, adhesive techniques, and removable prostheses. In this case report, orthodontic and prosthetic rehabilitation of 14 year old girl with non syndrome oligodontia is present.
