Abstract
Tevfik Fikret’s Heykel-i Giryân poem is an aesthetic process analysis. Fikret who watching his ego at a statue made of marble aesthetically takes pleasure. He first senses the statue, then he evaluates it and he gets a conclusion at the end. The poet who looks pessimism life and reality knows enjoy from art. Fikret gets empathy with the statue because he finds his reality at the statue. Reality of life pounds his ego and his body turns to a pale hunk of meat in the course of time. The poet trys to reach happness by take rafuge in the nature. He obtains happness by take rafuge in the nature in this poem. The aim of this work is detect aesthetic process by Tevfik Fikret’s Heykel-i Giryân poem.
