  • Abstract
Qashqai Turkish is a spoken language of Qashqai Turks settled in South of Iran, in the state of Fars. Qashqai Turkish, which is shown at Oghuz group in the classification of Turkic languages, has not developed as a literary language. Because almost all of the Qashqai Turks are also Persian speakers, Qashqai Turkish has begun to lose its typological features under the deep influence of Persian. It is of great importance what the confrontation of both languages may yield in linguistic studies. Initially, although these relationships were only confined to exchange of words, today, the bilateral copy and adoption of structural elements between the two languages is common. As a bilingual community, Qashqai Turks adopt structural elements from the socially dominant Persian and these structures slowly replace its own structural elements. In this study, predications indicating possessive in Qashqai Turkish will be discussed in comparison with Turkey Turkish and Persian.
