Abstract
At present, the importance of performance and efficiency is rising and the question of how the organisations will increase their efficiency is gaining importance. One of the answers of this question is to take one of the organizations that has performed best as a role model and try to simulate it. This study was an attempt to determine the role model units which should be taken as an example by the units with a poor performance so as to be efficient. Data envelopment analysis was used in this process. In the study, hotels in Alanya region were evaluated. Three efficient hotels were determined as reference set. Role models were determined for inefficient hotels and grouped among each other. Some recommendations were made for these hotels to be efficient.
