Abstract
In the study, the effect of green-ripe and red-ripe stages of tomato fruit in laboratory conditions, on feeding behaviors of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th nymph instars, male adults and female adults in preoviposition and oviposition stages of Nezara viridula (L.) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) was investigated. When the feeding behaviours of N. viridula individuals were investigated during 3.600 seconds, it was determined that total feeding durations, which creates basic feeding, are longer in red-ripe stages than green-ripe stages. Between all biological periods, it was seen that active (in green-ripe stages 2.717 seconds in average, in red-ripe stages 2.993 seconds in average) and total feeding (in green-ripe stages 2.717 seconds in average, in red-ripe stages 3.170 seconds in average) durations of 5th period nymphs take longer.
