Abstract
branding has become an important necessity for companies who are penetrating to the market or maintaining their place in today s markets due to the differentiation in developing technology and consumer structure. In this study, the issue of branding was examined in all its aspects and the significance of branding in Ag-business industrial products was examined through an example of olive oil. In this frame, the data compiled from 22 companies in olive oil sector; Branding process was evaluated and recommendations were made. Through the study, a road map has been drawn for companies trying to create high valueadded products by becoming a brand in both domestic and foreign markets. In this context, it has been suggested that firms should correctly identify the target customers in domestic and in international markets during the branding process, and determine advertising and advertisement practices in accordance with this concept.
