Abstract :
he aim of this research was to determine the yield and yield components of different sowing times in some silage maize varieties which will be grown as second crop silage in Diyarbakir conditions. For this purpose, the research was carried out for two years in 2014 and 2015 according to the splitplot randomised complete block design with 4 replications. Sowing times (15 June, 30 June and 15 July) were main parcels and varieties (Burak, Samada-07, DKC 7211, Ada 523 and 31Y43) were sub-parcels. According to the two year average results obtained in the study; plant high 248.8-291.6 cm, Stem diameter plant 20.1-28.4 mm, leaf percent per plant 16.0-22.7 %, stem percent per plant 46.6-58.4 %, ear percent per plant 25.0-30.9 %, green herbage yield 6000.5-10372.8 kg/da, matter yield 1656.9-2556.9 kg/da between changed. İn terms of yield, the most appropirate sowing time in Diyarbakır and similar ecologies can be suggested as 15 July, and the most suitable variety is Burak variety.
