Abstract :
Objective: The purpose of this research is to determine the effects of different doses of humic substance solution sprayed uniformly on a soil surface with a hand pump on runoff, soil loss, drainage and pH and EC in drainage water under artificial rainfall conditions. Material ve Methods: A sandy clay loam textured, soil was used in this experiment. Soil passed through a 8 mm sieve was placed into an erosion plot, with a size of 30x4Sxl S cm and a drain pipe, and humic substance solutions at different doses (0, S, 10, 20 and 40 ml^ 1- 1) were sprayed on soil surface uniformly a hand pomp. An artificial rainfall with intensity of 40 mm h^-1 was applied on these plots during 1 hour. Results: The results indicated that, humic substance solutions decreased runoff by 14-23 %, soil loss by 6-46 % and EC by 11-38%, and increased drainage by 101-277 %, linearly and significantly. Conclusion: According to the results obtained from this study, there was an increase in drainage while runoff and soil loss decreased with increasing humic substance content. There has been a decrease in pH and EC values due to increases in humic substances and properties of soil samples. In this study humic substance, besides the witness parcel, affected pH between 7.58-7.69 and EC between 777-1115 µS cm^-1 Organic materials applied to soils can change pH and EC in soil and groundwater. For this reason, it is absolutely necessary to drain the soil before using high-salt content materials. As a result, it has been determined in this study that liqueted humic material can reduce the erosion most. The most effective humic substance ratio in this study was determined as 40 ml^ 1-1
