Pearson s Product Moment Correlation was used to determined relationships between flow experiences and situational motivation of athletes. Results showed that flow experiences was positively associated with intrinsic motivation and identified regulation (p 0.01). On the other hand, flow experiences was negatively associated with amotivation and external regulation (p 0.01). In conclusion, the motivational orientation of athletes have an influence on their flow experience. Intrinsic motivation facilitates the flow experiences but extrinsic motivation inhibit this experience.
