Determining the Economic Value of Erosion Control Services and Willingness to Payment Trends of Society at Burdur Region
Abstract :
This study, prepared by the purpose of, that the forest will beestablished for reduction negative effects of following the Burdur region erosion,to determine the values of some indirect benefits such as; especially to humanhealth, prevent the loss of soil, reducing flood risk, extending the life of the damand increasing access to high‐quality spring water and supporting thedevelopment of strategies to generate data relating to erosion control by usingthese values. In this study has benefited from the Contingent Valuation Method, inorder to estimate the economic value of erosion control services of Burdur Region.Data on erosion control service, are collected by the survey for the ContingentValuation Method. The analyzes on the collected data, by means of chi‐square testwas performed using correlation analysis and regression analysis methods withthe Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 20.0 and Microsoft Office Excelprogram. In this research, the average annual pay trend analysis of trends in pay tobe included in the zero payment trends (consumer surplus) 17,12 ₺ per householdand total consumer surplus or the total annual economic value, ₺ 1,252,907.68 was estimated.
