  • Abstract
    Political budget cycles which is expressed as impact on the fiscal policy of the elections has been the subject of many studies in recent years. The impact of fiscal policy on the elections in Turkey has been investigated. In this study, the impact on public current and investment expenditures of the elections year are examined using data from Turkey s 1950-2012. As a result, it is observed an increase public current expenditures in the third year and investment expenditures in the second year before elections
