Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate graduate students’ views of nature of science and the influence of teaching the nature of science through the explicit and reflective approach on these views. The sample of the study consists of eight Ph.D. students and four master students, totally 12 students, who participated in “scientific research methods in educational science”. Qualitative research design was followed in the study. Data were collected via The Views of Nature of Science Questionnaire-C (VNOS-C) with ten items, which was conducted before and after explicit and reflective nature of science teaching. Data were analyzed descriptively using a rubric. Results indicated that the majority of the students had inadequate views about nature of science before the teaching and although there were some improvements in their views after the teaching, these were not sufficient. The importance of the nature of science teaching at the graduate level and recommendations were discussed
