Title Of Article :
Use of Alunite as a Starting Material of Geopolymer
Abstract :
Production of geopolymer materials used in the starting materials containing high amounts of reactive alumina and silica. This starting material, fly ash, blast furnace slag, pozzolana, mine waste, waste glass, construction residues or some of the minerals formed by natural. Due to the high content of alumina and silica in the structure of the alunite was chosen as a starting material. The use of alunite be activated in this study and have been studied for the development of new recipes for geopolymer. In this study, mineralogical and microstructural characterization of the samples prepared geopolymer representative samples were taken from the X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was carried out by means of FTIR techniques. At the end of 7 days compressive strength of the materials produced geopolymer also measured. The results of the use of mineral alunite created a new starting material, can be made suitable for the production geopolymer has improved and new prescriptions geopolymer.
