Title Of Article :
Investigation of Morphological and Mechanical Properties of PVA/ Aloe barbadensis and PEO/Chitosan Blended Nanofibrous Structures Fabricated by Dual Electrospinning System
Abstract :
Chitosan (CS)/Polyethylene oxide (PEO) and Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/ Aloe vera (AVG) based electrospun nanofibers were gathered together by dual electrospinning system. Properties of blended solutions for electrospinning were investigated by measuring viscosity, conductivity and pH values. Morphological characteristics of the nanofibers were analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Beadless and uniform nanofibers were obtained through the electrospinning process and the diameters of the fibers were ranged from 72±15 to 115±41 nm. Blended nanofibers were compared to each other in terms of tensile strength and elongation at break results. Our experiments proved that Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/ Aloe vera (AVG) based electrospun nanofibers exhibited greater tensile strength and elongation at break compared with the Chitosan (CS)/Polyethylene oxide (PEO) based electrospun nanofibers.
