THE STRENGHT EFFECT OF THE INDUSTRIAL WASTE ON SOIL STABILIZATION
Abstract :
The waste that is left behind after the industrial production, brings new problems like storing or leaving it in the nature. Our country has a big potential of fly ash, marble and granite waste and a great deal of waste is revealed into the nature during the processing of these mines. Once different uses of these waste is considered for recycling, economic and nature friendly materials will be produced. In this study, granite dust-flying ash (GD-FA) and granite dust-marble dust (GD-MD) mixtures are applied as subbase material aggregate. This materials prepared in optimum water content, are applied to an axial compression test after being left in a cure for 1-7 days. The MD+GD mixture samples left in the cure, showed a continuous strength decrease as opposed to pure witness sample. While in the FA+GD mixture samples left in the cure gave a maximum value of 5%FA+10%GD, in the other mixture samples with different mixture ratio the strength decrease is observed.
