Title Of Article :
Determination of the effects of experimental parameters on mechanical properties of lightweight concrete containing silica fume with variance (ANOVA) analysis methods
Abstract :
In this study, the effect of experimental parameters on compressive and splitting tensile strength of lightweight concrete was determinate using variance (anova) analysis. Four level of silica fume (0 %, 10 %, 20 % ve 30 %) and two level of cement dosage (400 and 500 kg/m3) for experimental parameters of compressive and splitting tensile strength have been determined and design of experiment has been conducted by Taguchi orthogonal array. Maximum grain diameter of pumice stone is 16 mm. The specimens were cured in 202 ºC water for 28 day. The specimens were tested for compressive and splitting tensile strength. The results showed that based on the variance (anova) method, the silica fume has an utmost importance on compressive and splitting tensile strength. Also, the high values of 20% silica fume and 500 kg/m3 cement content used is obtained.
