  • Abstract
When considered in terms of the damage they give, the floods are among the most serious natural disasters. Floods are called as natural disasters due to unplanned construction and lack of flood precautions. Modelling the floods which have different iteration values and determining the flood areas beforehand will contribute to the solution of the problem considerably. For planning and management of water conservation and regulatory structures has a great influence of cause effect relationship, which is made by means of information technology applications (Geographic information technology (GIS), remote sensing (RS), global database programs and special software) and risk analysis methods. In this study, after hydraulic modelling is conducted with Geographical Information System (GIS), risk analyses have been done for probable floods (2-5-10-25-50-100-500 years) in some Gümüshane substructure facilities such as wells, water pumping points, and centrals, tanks, main sewer, waste water treatment plant which are on the way of Harşit River which has an important role as it supplies drinking water and irrigation water to the city, but looks like liquid and solid waste canal due to its narrowed bed. It is also planned that using geographical analyses, it is possible to identify the problems that those facilities may come across in the future.
