Abstract :

In this study of review, flow cytometry device that detects and decomposite the suspended cells when they go through a flow canal, working principle based on antigen-antibody reaction and gives rapid and reliable results in the diagnosis of lots of diseases like leukemia and lenfoma, has been investigated in point of its contribution to microbiology and recent developments. The first attempt to develop this device had the purpose to diagnose the hematological diseases rapidly and safely. After the flow cytometry has been served to that purpose the attention on it has been increased day by day by the other disciplines. The cause was the antigen-antibody reaction works irreversibly and gives results which was rapid, reliable and correct. The device has recentl y introduced to identify the bacteria, yeast and mould presence from the water samples, the rapid determination of the pathogen microorganisms and in antimicrobial activity tests in microbiology
