Abstract :
The study was conducted to determine quality aspects of 17 potato varieties registered in recent years in our country and grown in Erzurum ecological conditions in 2012 and 2013. Experiment was designed based on randomized blocks design with three replicates. According to the two year- means result of the research, the specific gravity, dry matter content,starch content, protein content. chips productivity and chips oil absorption ratio of the varieties ranged as 1.070-1.216, %24.9-29.5, %9.1-14.3, %6.7-9.0, %29.4-33.7 and %24.4-30.8 respectively. As regards studied qulity features, it was determined that Vangogh, Nectar and Hermes gave the better resultsin terms of specific gravity, dry matter and french fried productivity while Vangogh, Hernes and Granola cultivars holded less oil then that of the other cultivars.
