Les entreprises et l’innovation en Afrique : doivent-elles solliciter la banque comme prêteuse ou actionnaire ?
Abstract :
Traditionally, in the debate concerning the difficulties of African firms to grow, one emphasizes on the barriers to the bank credits access they face notably concerning the innovation. However on forgets generally two major indications. First, that the bank financing is irreducible to credit. Second, the access to this financing for innovation is not the panacea and can sometime be dangerous for the anticipated performance. This article, researching on the base of data from Cameroun area the appropriate form of bank financing for innovation, demonstrates the interest for firm to solicit the bank as shareholder. The author invites mainly to discussions on the local institutional norms constraining the bank to be shareholder of firms.
