Converting well-known scriptures into an assonant form with rhymes is a widely exercised form of literature in Arab literature. Usually the assonant forms are created in the poetical meter of Aruz that also can be referred as Manzume. The primary reason for conversion is to Besides because of the aforementioned reasons, family generation trees have been traditionally converted into assonant forms with rhymes in order to abstain from mistakes while being narrated over generations. In this paper, we study such scriptures, and we illustrate this over an example generation tree authored by the Mufti of Baghdad Mahmud Alusi. As a Hussaini, Alusi converted the generation tree of Shaikh Hamid Mardini -who is one of the murshid of Khalidiyyah branch of Naqshibandie school, and lived in 19th century in Mardin- into a poem. Mahmud Alusi met Shaikh Hamid during his journey to pay a visit to the Ottoman Sultan Abdulmajid II. In this study, we present the generation tree that was formed during this journey and give information about both Mahmud Alusi and Shaikh Hamid.
