A travel is a trip taken to get away from a settlement to see new places and meet different people. Evliya Çelebi recorded everything that he saw very fastidiously during his travel he went to upon a dream. The essence of this study is composed of investigating, examining and classifying the information on the epigraphic works mentioned in Evliya Çelebi’s Seyâhatnâme. The information in question is presented in five main topics including epigraphic elements in caves and on rocks, epitaphs, epigraphic elements on architectural works, stamps, and coins. Epigraphic elements on architectural works are classified in subgroups as castle inscriptions, epitaphs on tombs, inscriptions and other epigraphic elements in mosques, madrasahs and khanqahs, church inscriptions, and inscriptions on bridges and fountains.
