  • Abstract
    Nurettin Topçu, among the important figures of Turkish thought movement, is a thinker having composed several works from philosophy to education and from moral to politics and suggesting original ideas on these matters. The focus of Topçu’s thought is “action philosophy”. He addresses education, moral, human, economics, sufism and all other social and human issues in terms of action philosophy. Besides, moral and moral education take an important place in Topçu’s philosophy. As a philosopher of moral, Topçu tries to realize moral and moral education from the dimension of action philosophy. Moreover, he adresses the issue by dwelling on the relations of these matters with religion through his own specific approaches. For Topçu moral is the metaphysics of human activities. Primarily trying to recognize and comprehend the issue of humanity on the basis of Anatolian man, Topçu promotes a reciprocal relation between moral and to value human. İndeed, he approaches to value human and psyche as the first prerequisite for being moral individuals. In this respect, for Topçu, the basic success for human is estranging from materialism and being involved in morale. Accordingly, this proposal aims to present the outlook on values, sepcifically moral values and moral education of Topçu, who follows idealist and spiritual tradition by staying out of materialistic and positivistic tendencies of his era.
