Abstract
This study aims to analyze the structuring and destructuring of ontological borders of the fictional space in three postmodern narratives by Hilmi Yavuz including Taormina, Fehmi K.’nın Acayip Serüvenleri and Kuyu in Üç Anlatı from the perspective of the dominant, namely the governing component asserted by Roman Jacobson. The world design of these narratives will be examined and how their heterotopic space is both constructed and deconstructed in respect to the parameters determined by Brian McHale, who suggests that the dominant of postmodern fiction is ontological. Beside, such postmodern narrative strategies as metafiction and intertextuality that pave the way to the ontological instability in these narratives will be examined.
