Abstract :
This study aimed to determine the effects of humic acid and zinc (Zn) applications at increasing doses on the plant growth and nutrient element uptake in chickpea grown in alkaline growth medium. The experiment was carried out on the Research and Application Farm of Agricultural Faculty at Yüzüncü Yıl University in Van, Turkey. In the experiment, 50 kg ha^-1 Amonium Sulfate, and 60 kg ha^-1 Triple Super Phosphate were used as basic fertilizers. Humic acid and Zn doses were applied as 0 and 400 kg ha^-1 and 0, 20 and 40 kg ha^-1, respectively. At the end of the experiment, biological yield, 1000 seed weight, seed yield, and contents of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium of the chickpea were determined. In humic acid and Zn applications, the best results for biological yield, 1000 seed weight, numbers of seed per plant were found as 4353 kg ha ^-1, 527,5 g, 9,133 by using 400 kg ha ^-1 Humic acid and 40 kg ha^ -1 Zn. The N-P-K contents of seed and plants varied based on the applications.
