DETERMINATION OF RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN YIELD AND YIELD COMPONENTS IN SOME FABA BEAN (Vicia faba L.) GENOTYPES

Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate relationships among some characters affecting yield and yield components in four faba bean genotypes (Eresen-87, 69V1, Etae-77 ve Etae-339) and determine direct and indirect effects of these characters on yield and yield components. It was shown that there was no significant relationship between yield and yield components of 69V1, Etae-77 and Etae-339 (P 0.05). Statistically significant relationships (P 0.01) were determined between plant height and yield in Eresen 87. Moreover, statistically significant (P 0.01) positive correlation between plant height and pod weight/per plant and between pod weight/per plant and weight of seed/per plant were found. In this genotype, as plant height and pod weight/per plant increased, weight of seed/per plant also increased.
