Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to examine organic and conventional raisins producers’ supply response under several prices, agricultural policy options and marketing channels. Thus, the tips can be obtained necessary for the development of more effective and successful policies with raisins. The study was carried out in Manisa where 75-80% of the raisins export was met alone. The data was gathered from 300 conventional and organic raisin producers via face to face interviews. Supply equations were estimated with Tobit model using the potential supply levels in response to own prices obtained under certain scenarios. Supply elasticity of conventional raisins is 0.18. In organic raisins, supply elasticity was found as 0.21 which is a little higher than that of conventional raisins. Area-based supports in organic farming was seen to increase organic raisin supply level by 3.2% approximately.
