Abstract :
The article has the objective to focus on the effects of translation. With a historical overview it is aimed to reveal that the emphases on the translational demands were connected to the specific needs of that period. The translation history of Turkey will be the main focus of this analysis. The historical knowledge about translation is important for the translators’ education.
