    Analysing the Turkish Teacher Candidates’ Writing Anxiety Situations in Terms of Several Variables

  • Abstract
    In this study, it was aimed to investigate that the Turkish Education teachers candidates’ writinganxieties in terms of several variables. The participants of the study consisted of Turkish teachercandidates from Turkish School of Education at Nigde University Faculty of Education. The data wascollected through Karakaya and Ülper (2011) Writing Anxiety Scale. This study configured with thescanning technique which is a quantitative research method. Descriptive and comparative statisticaltechniques were used for the analyses. In the result of the study, teacher candidates’ anxiety levels were found low. No significant differences were found in terms of teacher candidates’s their gender, education level, house condition, monthly income, house condition before coming to university, number of books they read in one term. Significant difference was found in terms of teacher candidates’ writing situation. When writing frequency increases, writing anxiety decreases, in other words when writing frequency decreases, writing anxiety increases.
