Abstract :
Rotodynamic pumps are machines in which energy is continuously given to the fluid by means of a rotating impeller. In this type of pump, an impeller is used to increase the fluid pressure and velocity. Impellers are made from different materials, such as iron, steel, bronze, brass, aluminum or plastic. There are a lot of parameters that affect the pump performance in impeller design. In this study, a systematic approach is presented for the design and manufacturing of an impeller with radial flow. Issues that need to be considered during the design and manufacturing process are revealed
