Abstract :
Nowadays, accelerator centers in some coutries of the world, that can be expressed in thousands, serve on different science disciplines (Pyhsics, Medicine, Genetics, Archeology, National Security, Energy Production, Mining etc.). Due to accelerator centers causes immediate and indirect radiological contamination because of their operations, radiation safety is one of the most important issues in these facilities that produces radiation. In this study, control of radiation gates which are used in the radiation safety system of Turkish Accelerator and Radiation Laboratory at Ankara (TARLA) by using Arduino technology is intended. The control of 3 radiation gates achieved by 10 search and 7 emergency buttons. The software providing both the control of motor driving circuits used for opening and closing the gates and the control of illuminated and voiced warning boards is developed in Arduino IDE code editor and loaded to Arduino card. Remote access and control of the system which made with Arduino Mega 2560 card and 4 electronic boards is provided by a software written by C# programme.
