Abstract :
In this study, we tried to figure out the effects of 2008 global economic crisis on textile, food, drink and tobacco sectors by the financial ratios. It was analyzed the period of crisis, the pre-crisis (2004-2007) and post-crisis (2009-2010) in the study that conducted on the listed firm in IMKB. As a result of the ratio analysis and paired sample t-test on 23 food firms and 28 textile firms generally textile firms have a significant difference between the pre-crisis and post crisis so it can be said that these firms were affected by the crisis whereas food, drink and tobacco sectors don’t have a significant difference between the pre-crisis and post crisis so it can be said that these firms weren’t affected by the crisis. while experiencing negative changes in textile sector in terms of the liquidity ratios, activity ratios, profitability ratios and financial leverage ratios, in the food sector reductions of specific ratios particularly liquidity ratios in the crisis was captured by the pre-crisis trend.
