THE IMPACT OF ECONOMIC CRISIS ON THE PERCEPTIONS TOWARDS WOMEN AND LABOUR FORCE

Economic crises, expansions in the service sector, technological improvements and high unemployment have brought forward the flexibility working and production types and arising of precarious employment within the women labour force. During this period, woman labor force has come into prominence as the suitable one in flexible working conditions because of its specific features. Nowadays, it is observed that women are employed intensely under such conditions.Flexible working types are widely used in EU, it is accepted as a very important source of increasing women employment, and in the recentyears the increase in women employment has been provided by the part-time Jobs. In this study, the impact of the Global Economic Crisis in 2008 is studied on the women labour force and the perceptions towards women in the context of its existent and non-existent relations with the labour sector.The first and foremost impact of economic crises can be evaluated as that those working individuals within family becomes unemployed or the possibility of their becoming unemployed rises. The women labour force faces more the risk of becoming unemployed under the crisis conditions. Especially, from the perspective of gender quality the perception towards women affects the structure and trends in women employment. For all these, this study discusses the feminity of women labour force and general perceptions on women.
