A Scale Development Study To Determine Institutionalization Criteria of Enterprises
Abstract :
Institutionalization is defined as the ability of organizations to live without being dependent on the existence of persons. Having competitive, innovative and sustainable managerial structure for organizations in contemporary world is associated with institutionalization. Institutionalization may be determined by establishment of some organizational and managerial criteria and the levels at which organizations fulfill them. The aim of this study is to develop a reliable and valid scale to measure the level of institutionalization. Items of the scale were prepared in the ligth of taking expert opinion by authors. In the first stage, the scale consisted of 60 items in total, and then reduced to 48 items as a result of expert opinions and validity-reliability analyzes. According to the results of Exploratory Factor Analysis, 48 items were gathered under 9 dimensions. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the validation of the scale structure with data.
