Although East Anatolia Region has an important share in terms of cattle potential the meat and milk productivity per animal is Quite under the average of Turkey. The most important reason of this low meat and milk productivity per animal is the low rate of more productive cattle races in cattle population. Artificial insemination based cattle breeding supports in 2005- 2007 has contributed a lot of to increase the rate of culture and cross breds. The material of the study were obtained by survey study with 104 farmers in Erzurum, Ağrı, Van and Elazığ which represents the East Anatolia region. In descriptive analysis of the data, “ Cross-tabing” was used, in econometric analysis, on other hand, Limited Dependent Variable model was estimated by Logit metod. In decision of producers to use artificion insemination distance of the farm to the center of counry, productivity per animal and farmer’s utilization from cattle supports are found significant. Between age, distince to the center of country and artificial insemination usage have negative correlation.
