  • Abstract
    The features which are characterized each organization are different and also one of the major sources of this difference is organizational culture. Each organization has an own sense of culture. Therefore, the organizational culture should be also considered to manage the conflict that emerged in organization. Thus, the main purpose of our study is to examine the relationship between the conflict management strategy commonly preferred by managers and the organizational culture type dominantly perceived by employees. Thereby, whether there is any effect of organizational culture type on determining the conflict management strategy would have been tested. The study is based on survey research and it was applied on total 146 persons who working at a firm is service in Erzurum. The results of the research showed that the organizational culture type is the market culture dominantly perceived by employees and the conflict management strategy is the problem solving commonly preferred by managers. The hypothesis that claimed has been proved. In this case, the managers are affected by perceiving organizational culture type of employees when they determine the conflict management strategy.
